Youri Tielemans breaks silence after Arsenal, Man United transfer reports
Youri Tielemans has admitted that his future is uncertain amid reported interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham.
The Belgium international has reportedly been attracting interest from a host of the Premier League’s top clubs following his excellent debut season in the Premier League.
Metro reports that Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to sign the loanee in a permanent deal in the summer transfer window.
The on-loan AS Monaco midfielder scored in Leicester City’s 3-0 victory over Arsenal at the King Power Stadium earlier this month.
Tielemans acquitted himself well in the Foxes’ 1-0 loss to Manchester City at The Etihad in their penultimate fixture of the season.
The 22-year-old has scored three goals and has made four assists in 12 games in the Premier League since his move to Leicester on loan from AS Monaco in the January transfer window.
Quizzed about potential interest from Manchester United in the Belgian star, Tielemans told VTM as quoted by Metro: “Normally, I’ll go back to Monaco this summer, unless something moves, but that’s not the case at the moment.
“When things go well, of course, you want it to stay that way. But I do not know how it’s going to go or how much Monaco are going to ask.”
Tielemans netted five times in 65 games in all competitions during an 18-month spell at AS Monaco before his loan switch to Leicester.
The Belgian midfielder started his professional career at Anderlecht, where he scored 35 times in 185 games in all competitions.
Tielemans won the Belgian top-flight title twice during his spell at Anderlecht.
