Goa University recruitment process unfair: GFP to Guv
The youth wing of the Goa Forward Party Monday petitioned Governor Mridula Sinha alleging that injustice was being meted out to domiciles of the state in recruitments in the Goa University.
A delegation of Goa Youth Forward, the GFP's youth wing, led by functionaries Raj Mallik and Durgadas Kamat met Sinha, who is the chancellor of GU, in the afternoon and apprised her of what the party claimed were gross loopholes deliberately left by university authorities while advertising vacancies for 82 posts.
The GYF's memorandum to the governor claimed that during GU's recruitment drive for 82 posts, a deliberate move was being made to keep "Goans" out.
It said the university was "reluctant" to apply the requirement for domicile for the posts despite it being part of the institution's statute.
