Spurs suffer blow in their pursuit of Championship midfielder

Tottenham are set to strengthen their squad considerably in the summer after two transfer windows of complete inactivity (The Daily Mail).

Among the positions Spurs need to address immediately is the central midfield role where the team have been short of numbers this season after the sale of Mousa Dembele, and injuries to Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier.

Spurs have been linked with several midfield players in the last few weeks including Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele (Euro United) and Barcelona’s Andre Gomes (Sport).
