IPL 2019: Ravindra Jadeja TROLLED For Shane Watson’s Controversial Run-Out During Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings Final | SEE POSTS
The Indian Premier League has come to its conclusion as Mumbai Indians (MI) became a record four-time champion after defeating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by a run at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday. However, the fixture entailed plenty of drama which was witnessed right till the final ball of the match.
In the match, CSK’s all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja had the golden chance to script a partnership alongside the in-form Watson. Out to bat in the 19th over when his side needed just 17 runs to win, Jadeja just managed to knock five runs. To make matters worse, he was involved on the other end of a crucial run-out that became the turning point in Mumbai’s favour.
Just when the MS Dhoni-led side looked like they have turned the match around in their favour towards the end, Watson’s wicket was taken through run out. What made the situation further dramatic was that the replay of this dismissal was not shown. This raised also raised suspiciousness among the audiences and they took to social media to call out the broadcasting authorities regarding the matter.

Poor Shane Watson. If a batsman is striking the ball well, is gettling all the lucky breaks & opposition can’t get out by any means… then just make him bat with Ravindra Jadeja & he will be back to pavillion #MIvCSK #IPL2019Final

Ravi Jadeja’s anxiety for the extra run cost us Shane Watson run out yesterday. How crucial was that. Sometimes, It’s not just only the speed. Jadeja should be more sensible while running.!! #IPL2019Final #CSKvMI

Speaking to the presser at the post-match presentation ceremony, winning captain Rohit Sharma said: “I was thinking of Hardik (Pandya) for the final over, but I wanted to back someone who has been in that situation for us before, and Malinga has been there many times.”
Meanwhile, reflecting on the IPL 2019 campaign, Rohit said: “Throughout the tournament, we played some good cricket which was the reason we qualified at the top.”
“We planned to split the tournament into two parts, everything we did as a team, we got the rewards for them. We have a squad of 25 players, everyone came in at some stage and did the job; the support-staff as well. Our bowling, in particular, was excellent. At different stages in the game, the bowlers put their hands up and brought us back. Every bowler who got an opportunity put their hands up, took the responsibility and that’s why we got the rewards for it,” he added.
