He limited the Knights to 1 run on 7 hits with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts over 5 innings of work. “General” Jackson Stephens struck out 2 in 2 scoreless innings of relief. Nick “Hit Ball” Longhi went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 runs scored and Blake “Trade Hands” Trahan went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, a triple, and 3 RBI.

Chattanooga Lookouts 4, Tennessee Smokies 1

Chattanooga scored 3 in the bottom of the 10th to defeat Tennessee 4-1 on Friday. Jose “Ask” Siri was responsible for those 3 runs, as he smacked the game-winning 3-run dinger as a part of a 1 for 4 evening. Tony “Santigold” Santillan got the start and was solid, throwing 6 shutout innings, allowing only 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 5. Ty “Poppin’” Boyles struck out 4 in 2 scoreless innings of relief.

Daytona Tortugas 4, Lakeland Flying Tigers 0

Austin “1984” Orewiler got the start for Daytona on Friday and was solid, throwing 5 shutout innings, allowing only 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 1. Aneurys “Targaryen” Zabaia struck out 3 in 2 scoreless innings. Jonathan “Bollywood” India went 2 for 4 with a 2-run dinger.

Dayton Dragons 4, Burlington Bees 9

Things did not go well in Dayton on Friday. James Marinan started and got lit up, lasting 4.2 innings and giving up 6 runs on 8 hits with no walks and 6 strikeouts. Miguel Hernandez went 2 for 4 with a double, a triple and 3 RBI. Shard “Funroe” Monroe went 1 for 4 with a solo dinger.

Chattanooga scored early and often in their rain-shortened game on Saturday. Scott “Randy” Moss was the only pitcher for the Lookouts and he went 5 innings and allowed only 1 run on 4 hits with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Taylor Trammell went 1 for 2 with a triple, a walk, and 2 runs scored. Jose Siri went 2 for 3 and scored a run and drove in another and Tyler “Bat Flip” Stephenson went 1 for 3 with 2 RBI. Mark “YOLO” Kolosvary also drove in a run while going 1 for 2 with a double.

Daytona Tortugas 7, Lakeland Flying Tigers 6

A 6-run 4th inning helped propel Daytona on Saturday. Mac Sceroler got the start and went 3 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. Jonathan India reached base 4 times, going 1 for 1 with 3 walks and 2 runs scored. Drew Mount went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI and Stuart “Little” Fairchild went 2 for 4 and scored a run.

Dayton Dragons 1, Burlington Bees 4

Lyon “Lannister” Richardson got the start for Dayton on Saturday. He went 4.2 innings and gave up 1 run on 4 hits with 2 walks and 7 strikeouts. Not bad at all. There wasn’t much to write home about offensively. Carlos Rivero went 2 for 4 and Pabel Manzanero drove in the only run for Daytona, going 1 for 4 with a double and a RBI.

Sunday, May 12

Louisville Bats 5, Charlotte Knights 4

Louisville scored a run in the bottom of the 10th to secure a comeback victory over Charlotte on Sunday. Lucas “I am your father” Sims did as he does and struck out everyone. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits with 2 walks and 9 strikeouts over 6 innings of work. Cody Reed struck out 2 in 1.1 scoreless innings. Christian Colon went 3 for 4 with a double and a RBI. Narciso Crook went 2 for 5 and also had a double and 1 RBI. Phil “Phlerv” Ervin drove in 2 in the day.

Louisville is off tonight.

Chattanooga Lookouts 0, Rain 1

Chattanooga had their game Sunday banged due to rain. They will play a double-header today against Pensacola.

Daytona was off on Sunday. Reiver Sanmartin starts tonight at 6:30 PM EDT.
