Morning news and notes for Monday, May 13, 2019
Here’s to a great week!
Indians 5, A’s 3
Jefry Rodriguez had another solid outing, working out of jams and getting crucial double-play groundballs in the Tribe’s victory in Oakland Sunday. Roberto Perez helped the cause tremendously with a three-run homer in the sixth to put the good guys on top. With the win, Cleveland is now 21-18 on the season.

Mike Clevinger goes long distance, bullpen could be next | cleveland.com
Good news! From Paul Hoynes:
Clevinger played long toss at what he estimated to be 250 to 300 feet Sunday morning at Oakland Coliseum before the Indians played the A’s in the final game of a three-game series. It’s the second time in the last three games he’s thrown long distance.
“It feels the same,” said Clevinger. “It feels good. We’ll see how it reacts on Monday and go from there.”
Clevinger said he’s looking forward to throwing off the mound again. He is not eligible to come off the injured list until June 6.
