Escalator rips off little boy’s toes off after they got stuck in the metal mechanism at a shopping centre
THIS is the shocking moment a five-year-old traps his foot in the metal mechanism of an escalator and reportedly has two toes ripped off.
The accident took place in a shopping centre in Basaksehir, Turkey, when school teacher Eda Ozcan was out shopping with her husband and two children.

According to reports, when the family was coming down the escalator to the ground floor, the five-year-old boy got his foot stuck at the bottom and two toes were torn off.
While the boy was receiving first aid in the shopping centre, workers dismantled the escalator and managed to find the boy’s toes.
The youngster was then taken to hospital by ambulance, but doctors were unable to sew the retrieved digits back on, according to local media.
The mother has since reported the incident to the local authorities and an investigation is underway.

She told local media: “My son was wearing normal trainers. What am I supposed to put on a child’s feet, work boots?
“I want those responsible to be punished accordingly.”
In the CCTV footage, the boy is seen holding his dad’s hand as the family comes down the escalator.
The youngster gets trapped at the bottom and his parents rush to his aid.
At the end of the clip, they are seen holding him as bystanders offer help.
The investigation is ongoing.
