Dismal Man Utd 15th in Premier League since Solskjaer got job full-time in relegation-threatened form
THE honeymoon is over for Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – with the club sitting 15th in the Premier League since he took the job permanently.
United lost four of their last eight matches, picking up just eight points – miles behind rivals Liverpool and Man City.
The Red Devils finished the season with arguably two of their worst results in the top-flight history.
A 1-1 draw against a woeful Huddersfield was followed by a 2-0 home defeat to also-relegated Cardiff on the final day.
The result led to fans launching abuse at players, including Paul Pogba, as they embarked on their season-ending “lap of honour”.
In fact, United‘s only Premier League wins since Solskjaer took the job on a permanent basis came against West Ham and Watford – both 2-1.
GUNNERS DOWN
While many believe Solskjaer should be given at least one full season before any snap decisions are made, others reckon he should be given the boot sooner rather than later.
Meanwhile, Arsenal sit a lowly 12th since Solskjaer took over, winning just three of their final eight games and losing four.
Top-four rivals Tottenham sit ninth with the same record – ahead only on goal difference.
Crystal Palace are flying high in third having won five of their final eight matches, behind only Man City and Liverpool.

City won all eight of their games in that time, while the Reds won all seven of their matches in the same span – with the best goal difference to boot.
Meanwhile, Chris Hughton shouldn’t be too surprised at his Brighton sacking, according to the stats.
They had the second-worst run in, winning none of their last nine matches, losing sixth – with only Huddersfield performing to a lower level.
