50's and 60's film icon, singer and actress Doris Day died this morning at the age of 97 her family announced. After a long acting career, who could forget the Iconic "With six you get eggroll" movie franchise movies of the 60,s with costar Rock Hudson.. I actually couldn't stand her growing up, watching her milk toast movies.. Too nice I guess for my taste. That all changed in the early 80's for me when she was featured on the cover of People (?) Magazine kissing an AIDs ridden ,emaciated Rock Hudson on the cheek, when the rest of Hollywood had abandoned him. I found a new respect for her bravery and loyalty. Those were the days when people thought you could get ADs from a sneeze. So I had to give her props here,, RIP BTW 97 is a good run
