Theresa May beheaded by Brexit guillotine in controversial sand sculpture
A sand artist’s new sculpture of the Prime Minister suggests he’s not a big fan of the way Brexit is being handled.
Dutch activist Johannes Hogebrink is building a monument in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, which shows Theresa May moments before she’s hacked by a Brexit guillotine.
Russian leader Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump both sit rubbing their hands together with glee as they watch the imminent beheading while on a large globe.
The controversial model is part of the Weston Sand Sculpture Festival, which opened on April 19.
It has a theme of ‘What If…?’ where artists explore important and alarming messages from around the world.

Artistic leader and event organiser Nicola Wood said: ‘Of course we wanted to include Brexit and in fact we built a large block ready for a dramatic piece once the decision had been made – promised immediately before our opening.
‘We are still waiting, and the empty block became a sad reminder of the purgatory state we are in, so we decided to change tack.’

Mr Hogebrink’s sculpture of Mrs May should be completed by Wednesday.
