Students held terrified dog upside down and forced it to drink beer from keg
Students caused outrage after they were filmed forcing a dog to drink beer from a keg.
The two Hosfstra University students can be seen in a five-second video holding the dog upside down and forcing beer into its mouth.
Footage was initially posted on Snapchat by members of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, which has since been suspended in the wake of the video.
Students in the background can be heard yelling ‘let’s go,’ as the pair holds the animal over the keg.
Hofstra University, which is in Hempstead, New York issued a statement saying: ‘The behavior seen on the video is unacceptable and in violation of the University’s Community Standards Code,’ adding that any students identified in the video will be disciplined.

The fraternity’s media spokesman, Jon Pierce, told Patch: ‘Alpha Epsilon Pi International has placed out chapter at Hofstra University on “cease and desist” due to suspected violations of our health and safety policies. During this investigatory period, there can be no chapter activities.’
Pierce continued to say that he hopes the fraternity will use the incident as a teaching moment.

More than 1,200 people have commented on the video shared to Twitter and many posted screenshots of complaints they have brought to the university.
One user posted a screenshot of their message to the university, which said: ‘If you do not reprimand this kind of behavior, I will be ashamed to be a student here. This is ridiculous and by not taking a stand you’re promoting complacency and unsafe behavior. Shame on you.’
An alumni posted their complaint to the school, saying: ‘Hi, I’m an alumni and this was extremely upsetting to see.
‘It’s nice to know my donation money goes to supporting horrible people who abuse animals.’
According to Dogster.com, a dog’s kidneys are not meant to process alcohol, which can be extremely dangerous to their health.
