‘Creep adopted kittens from Craigslist then took them home and stomped them to death’
An animal abuser adopted cats and kittens from Craigslist then took them home and stomped or strangled them to death, police say.
Kaine Louzader, 20, reportedly tortured and mutilated at least a dozen of the animals after picking them up for free from the online listings site.
He is also said to have drowned some of the helpless kitties, before cutting off their heads and limbs and disposing of their remains.
Louzader, of St Charles County in Missouri, was arrested after dead cats began appearing in the area surrounding his grandparents’ home, where he also lives, in January.
Last Monday, a man was spotted dumping a dead cat from a bag filled with water near Louzader’s house.
The car that man was driving matched the description of Louzader’s own vehicle, the St Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
Louzader was subsequently arrested, with police noticing his arms, hands and fingers were covered with scratches.

Louzader has so far been charged with two counts of felony animal abuse, and is likely to face further allegations.
He has been charged with felonies, rather than less serious misdemeanor charges, because the cats are said to have been alive during the torture.
Prosecutor Tim Lohmar highlighted previous cases where animal abusers have progressed on to harming people.
He told KMOV: ‘We’ve had several incidents over the years people involved in violent crimes, lo and behold in their background some animal mutilation so it’s a scary situation.’
Louzader is being held in jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
Photos on his Facebook page show him posing next to a DeLorean, and with a creepy clown.
The alleged cat torturer has also included a Bible quote from the Book of Psalms as his banner picture, which reads ‘Be still, and know that I am God.’
