Aldi is selling a wooden tree house with a slide this week
PARENTS hoping to entertain the kids this summer might want to head down to Aldi where it’s selling a wooden lookout playhouse for £179.99.
The two-storey wendy house comes complete with mini stairs so your tots can clamber up and a plastic 1.8 meter slide so they can get back to the ground again.
It has a roof to keep children dry even when it’s raining and underneath there’s a shaded space for a sand pit – although you do need to buy the sand separately.
The wood is pre-drilled for easy assembly although Aldi reckons it will take two adults about two hours to put together.
It adds that the anchors supplied must be fitted before use.
The whole things measures 244cm by 142cm by 261cm (including the slide) so check it’ll fit in your garden before you snap it up.
It comes with a one year warranty, which means you can get a refund, replacement or a repair if something goes wrong within the first year.
But the wood, which is pine spruce and natural wood, comes with a five-year guarantee if it rots.
It’s suitable for children aged three to eight but Aldi says adult supervision is required at all times.
You can buy the playhouse online only at Aldi from May 19 but you can pre-order it now – delivery costs from £3.95.
This is the cheapest price we’ve seen for a wooden playhouse with a plastic slide attached at the major retailers.
The next cheapest was Wickes at £280, followed by Amazon at £285, and Homebase at £299.
Wayfair has one for £339.99, while Screwfix has one for £399.99, and Argos’ version is a whopping £899.99.
