New iPhone 2019 branded ‘UGLY’ before it’s even out after brand new design leaks
MORE ‘leaks’ of the iPhone 11 design appear to confirm that the upcoming smartphone will have a triple camera lens set into a square layout.
Although not officially confirmed, this square camera layout has been the subject of many other previous rumours and leaks and is dividing Apple fans as some people think that it’s ugly.
Two new sets of iPhone 11 case designs have recently appeared online and some people are taking this as evidence that Apple will be going with the controversial camera layout style.
Leak site SonnyDickson.com posted the two case renders, which are apparently from “trusted sources in China”.
They show the device dimensions for the ‘iPhone XI’ and ‘iPhone XI Max’ models and both include room for a square camera area.
Other leaked case renders have also shown this square design.
Advocates of the rumours argue that case manufacturers will be told about the design of the new iPhone in advance so they can start making cases and therefore leaks are possible.
However, nothing has been confirmed by Apple so we will have to wait until official announcements about the phone are made.
Apple fans may have a while to wait though as these announcements will most likely happen in September this year.
Picking an iPhone model – the quick advice
Here's what you need to know...
- Don’t bother with the iPhone 7 – it’s the cheapest, but you’re better off spending an extra £150 for the iPhone 8
- If you can spend a little more, consider the iPhone XR
- It’s got a similar designand specs to the top-end iPhone XS, but costs £250 less – and is within the reach of most Brit buyers
- Only true gadget fans should consider forking out for the iPhone XS, which is extremely expensive – but also an incredible class-leading mobile phone
- We wouldn’t bother buying the iPhone X at this stage – the iPhone XR is far better value for money
