Justin Hartley Serves As Honorary Starter at INDYCAR Grand Prix!

Justin Hartley is all smiles as he gets into his racing gear at the 2019 INDYCAR Grand Prix held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday (May 11) in Indianapolis, IN.

The 42-year-old This Is Us star served as the honorary starter (person who waves the green flag) at the big event.

Justin was schooled on what it might be like to pilot an Indy car at speed by racing legend Mario Andretti, took a ride as a passenger in the Indy Racing Experience two-seat Indy car driven by Andretti, watched the NTT IndyCar Series morning warmup practice from pit lane and took a tour of INDYCAR Race Control.

“It’s historic place,” Justin expressed (via IndyCar). “I’m a race fan and, you know, to get to watch these incredible machines do these incredible things – this is fantastic! It’s engineering at its best.”
