IPL 2019: Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh Lead Champions Parade After Mumbai Indians Beat Chennai Super Kings to Clinch Record Fourth Title | WATCH VIDEO
IPL 2019 Final: Trumpets, drums, hues of colours and innumerable fans welcomed the 2019 IPL Champions. As expected, Mumbai Indians took to the streets for the Champions parade from Antilia Peddar Road to Hotel Trident (the team hotel) in Nariman Point via Peddar Road and Marine Drive. Fans were seen in buses with the Mumbai Indians flag cheering for their side, some fans were also heard chanting, ‘Sachin, Sachin’. Mumbai Indians cricketers turned blue to welcome the champions and it was surreal to see the love fans had for their heroes. It was an open bus that the players took to the team hotel. The open bus gave fans ample opportunity to get a glimpse of their stars. Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Yuvraj Singh were as expected the most popular among fans and that was visible in the love they got. The other players too got the attention of the fans but not to the extent these three players got.

Other players were spotted throwing their belongings to fans from the bus, like, their jersey, cap, gloves etc.
Meanwhile, Mumbai beat Chennai in a last-ball thriller to clinch their record fourth IPL title. The low-scoring game boiled down to the wire, thanks to some spirited fielding by Mumbai. It was the run-outs of Rayudu, Watson, and Dhoni that seemed to have cost Chennai the game. And then it was the last over brilliance from Lasith Malinga that helped Mumbai edge out Chennai.
“Throughout the tournament, we played some good cricket which was the reason we qualified at the top. We planned to split the tournament into two parts, everything we did as a team, we got the rewards for them. We have a squad of 25 players, everyone came in at some stage and did the job; the support-staff as well,” said Rohit after the win.
