Hot Summer Night concert brings major R&B lineup to Bay Area
Guy, Blackstreet and SWV are among the acts set to perform at the sixth annual Hot Summer Night concert.
The lineup also features 112, Dru Hill, Ginuwine and 702.
This all-star R&B concert takes place Sept. 1 at the Concord Pavilion.
Tickets are $35-$149.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. May 17, www.livenation.com.
Guy is best known for its eponymous debut of 1988, which featured the hits “I Like” and “Teddy’s Jam.” The album was certified double platinum.
Blackstreet’s top-selling album is 1996’s “Another Level,” which featured the chart-topping smash “No Diggity.”
SWV is responsible for such gold/platinum-selling singles as “Weak,” “I’m So Into You” and “You’re the One.” It’s debut album, 1992’s “It’s About Time,” was certified triple platinum.
Previous Hot Summer Nights performers have included Babyface, LL Cool J, Nelly, Bell Biv Devoe, Boyz II Men, Salt N Pepa, Naughty by Nature, Ja Rule and Ashanti.
