Apple releases iOS 12.3 with overhauled TV app and plenty more
Apple rolled out iOS 12.3 to the public on Monday, coming nearly two months after 12.2 arrived alongside the March event in which the company unveiled its Apple News+ and Apple TV+ subscription services. While Apple News+ has already launched, Apple TV+ won't be ready until the fall. Nevertheless, Apple has completely overhauled the TV app for iPhone and iPad in iOS 12.3, adding many of the features that were revealed in March.
Aside from the new design, the highlight of this TV-centric update is the new Channels feature, which allows users to subscribe to other networks from within the TV app, such as HBO, Showtime, and Starz. This is an important step to consolidating streaming content into one app that Apple has complete control over.
