IPL 2019: Chennai Super Kings may have lost the final, but Shane Watson won hearts for his ‘never-give-up’ attitude. Watson had got six stitches on his knee before he came into bat. He had picked up an injury while CSK was bowling. Despite that, he came into bat for Chennai as it was a final and scored 80 off 59 balls. He was going through pain and agony throughout his innings but that did not see him getting complacent. His innings was laced with four sixes and eight fours. Watson may not have won the match for Chennai, but he won the respect and hearts of fans who praised his effort.
Here is the video of him bleeding while batting.
Heartbroken ….

For all the times that I might have criticised you, @ShaneRWatson33 for a poor start, a sorry #CSK has won. #Yellove has won.

Meanwhile, Watson has done reasonably well in IPL 2019 as Mumbai beat CSK in a last-ball thriller. Mumbai clinched a record fourth IPL title.
“Throughout the tournament we played some good cricket which was the reason we qualified at the top. We planned to split the tournament into two parts, every thing we did as a team, we got the rewards for them. We have a squad of 25 players, everyone came in at some stage and did the job; the support-staff as well. Our bowling in particular was excellent, at different stages in the game, the bowlers put their hands up and brought us back,” said Rohit after the win.
