Bafta TV Awards winner Jodie Comer celebrated first win by downing vodka shots with her parents
JODIE Comer plays cunning assassin Villanelle in Killing Eve — but she won’t have been feeling quite as sharp.
She won the coveted Best Actress Bafta at Sunday night’s ceremony and celebrated in spectacular style — downing vodka shots and bubbly.
And Jodie won’t have been the only one with a sore head the following morning.
Her mum and dad stayed up boozing with her until at least 2am at London’s Royal Festival Hall, where the star-studded ceremony was held.
A source said: “It was a huge night for Jodie and she kept the drinks flowing until the early hours.
“She was dishing out neat shots of vodka to her pals and other guests to toast her success.
“Jodie also threw a fair few back with her parents, who were having the time of their lives.
“She had loads of people coming up to congratulate her and she was grinning all night long.
“After playing bartender, Jodie hit the dancefloor with her friends, including fellow Bafta winner Phoebe Waller-Bridge and was having a ball with drag queen Jodie Harsh, who was DJing.
“She danced and drank until it was kicking out time and was spotted getting into a taxi clutching her Bafta.”
Jodie wasn’t the only one seen enjoying the after-party’s free bar.
Holly Willoughby, Billie Piper and Tess Daly all enjoyed the spoils at the bash, with bottles of bubbly flowing. Not everyone was so keen on burning the midnight oil, though.
Keeley Hawes, who missed out on the Best Actress and Supporting Actress gongs for Bodyguard and Mrs Wilson, made an early exit with her husband Matthew Macfadyen.
And Best Actor winner Benedict Cumberbatch, wearing shades, sneaked off early with his wife Sophie Hunter.
When the lights came up, Jodie seemed keen to keep the party going and was overheard leading the charge to another private after-party with her pals.

Beauts on red alert
FOOTBALL pundit Jamie Redknapp was on form at the after-party, spending his night chatting up gorgeous women.
After arriving an hour late at the ceremony because of traffic, he wasted no time in turning on the charm at the Mondrian Hotel.
A source said: “Jamie missed out on picking up the gong with the team from A League Of Their Own. But once he got inside the party he was the life and soul.
“He was seen deep in conversation with a few gorgeous women who made a beeline for him. He looked like the cat that got the cream.”
Since splitting from Louise in 2017, Jamie has been linked to model Lizzie Bowden but has yet to settle down.
I’m not surprised he’s biding his time – he’s got plenty of women to choose from.
Bafta bits
THERE’S always one celebrity gagging for a cigarette but without any to hand. At the Baftas after-party it was former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton who was begging all the smokers to give her a spare.
MIFFED Piers Morgan couldn’t hide his fury at Good Morning Britain losing out in the News Coverage category. He was spotted giving a slow handclap after being pipped by Channel 4’s Cambridge Analytica Uncovered.

Oh Maya word!
MAYA Jama warned anyone near her to watch out as she arrived in this revealing silver flapper cocktail dress.
She joked: “Very unstable, so if a nipple flies out, sorry in advance.”
Rapper Stormzy’s girlfriend – there for Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer live event, which she hosted – revealed the snake around her neck was borrowed from jeweller Bulgari. And it was a good thing she managed to stay on her feet when she emerged from the after-party a little bleary eyed, as the necklace was worth £250,000.
Stormzy needs a few more No1s to fund that.
