Former Port Vale striker is released by League Two rivals
As clubs issue their retained lists, another former Port Vale striker has been released by his club.
Cheltenham Town has announced that striker Tyrone Barnett has been released.
The 33 year-old veteran was signed by former manager Michael Brown in 2017 but after an injury-hit first season he was transfer-listed by Brown’s replacement Neil Aspin.
Barnett was then loaned out to Cheltenham where he sealed a permanent move in January. Barnett scored seven goals in 37 games for the Robins.

Alex Jones departs Bradford City
Former Birmingham City loanee Alex Jones (right) was one of the few bright spots of Vale’s awful 2016-17 season. However, after ten goals in two seasons, Jones has now one of a number of players to be released by the Bantams.
