Suns Josh Jackson Arrested At Rolling Loud Music Festival
Phoenix Suns forward Josh Jackson was arrested at Rolling Loud Music Festival in Miami Florida, this past weekend after making repeated attempts to enter a VIP area without a proper pass, according to reports. Jackson, 22, reportedly tried to run away after being handcuffed but was apprehended.
He was ultimately booked on a felony charge of escape with a misdemeanor for resisting an officer’s arrest without violence. Jackson posted a $1,000 bond on Saturday and was assigned a hearing date of June 10.
The Suns selected Jackson fourth overall out of Kansas in the 2017 NBA Draft and he has had his issues both on and off the court dating back to his college days. For instance, he was fined $20,000 by the team last season after he skipped a team-sponsored autograph signing. On the court, Jackson has shot just 42% in his career with the Suns. Last season he averaged 11.5 points to go along with 4.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
During his lone season at Kansas, he was charged with one count of criminal damage to property, less than $1,000 after he allegedly kicked the car of a woman basketball player, who claimed he threatened to “beat her ass.” He was also suspended for one game while at Kansas for a separate incident in which he backed into a car and left the scene.
