Scotland has had its own venue at the Venice Biennale, the world’s premier festival of contemporary art, since 2003. Having occupied various spaces from churches to palazzos, this year the Scotland + Venice team has transformed a disused boatyard at the Arsenale Docks into a state of the art screening room for Charlotte Prodger’s new film. Prodger, who won the Turner Prize in December for two partly autobiographical films about identity, queerness and subjectivity, completes the trilogy with this 40-minute film, SaF05.
