Britney Spears confirms ‘of course’ she’ll perform again as she holds hands with boyfriend Sam Asghari after stint in rehab
BRITNEY Spears has vowed to return to the stage after The Sun revealed her manager doesn’t want her to “work again until she’s ready”.
Her manager Larry Rudolph exclusively revealed to us that her Las Vegas residency is officially off and said the star has no upcoming commitments.
But when asked by TMZ on Friday if she’d perform in the future, as she headed out with boyfriend Sam Asghari, Britney replied: “Of course.”
Speaking for the first time about Britney’s wellbeing, Larry admitted he was concerned for the star, who this week claimed her dad had forced her into a mental health unit in March.
Larry said: “I don’t want her to work again until she’s ready, physically, mentally and passionately.
“If that time never comes again it will never come again.
“I have no desire or ability to make her work again. I am only here for her when she wants to work.
“As the person who guides her career — based on the information I and all of the professionals who work with her are being told on a need-to-know basis — it’s clear she should not be doing this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again.”
Britney was two thirds of the way through rehearsals for the show, which was to be held at Park MGM in Sin City, before she pulled the plug.
At the time, it was attributed to her dad Jamie being seriously ill.
However last week Britney told a court that Jamie had forced her into the unit and tried to make her take tablets against her will.
Meanwhile, Britney appeared in front of a judge earlier this month in a bid to be freed from her conservatorship, which has seen her father take control of her finances and life since her breakdown in 2007.
In her court appearance, Britney, 37 – who has sons Sean, 13, and Jayden, 12, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline – alleged her father committed her to a mental health facility last month against her will, and also forced her to take drugs.

As part of Britney’s conservatorship, which was granted in 2008, Jamie has full control over her affairs.
But the ruling does not give him power to put Britney in a facility or medicate her without consent.
Her mum Lynne is now attempting to amend the conservatorship so she can take back some control for Britney, who was one of America’s top pop talents.
The judge ordered a court investigation into the conservatorship with a full report expected before Britney’s next hearing in September.
