Ainsley Harriott and James Martin plotting the return of Ready Steady Cook to UK TV 10 years after it was axed
IT’S almost ten years since Ready Steady Cook was axed from BBC2, but its stars are now plotting a return.
Host Ainsley Harriott and resident chef James Martin have been in talks to bring the popular teatime show back to screens.
Ainsley said: “Me and James have been discussing it recently, he is at the forefront of the production side of things, and he is saying that people are talking about it.
“Fingers crossed they go for it. It’s a unique format and there’s nothing else on TV quite like it – it’s so easy for people to follow. Me and James would do it, along with a raft of new chefs.”
I’m not convinced TV needs yet another cooking show.
