Man Utd make ‘opening £35m bid’ for Lyon ace Moussa Dembele
MANCHESTER UNITED have launched a £35million bid for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, according to reports.
Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is wasting little time in transforming his squad ahead of a busy summer of transfers.
Dembele, 22, scored 15 goals in 32 appearances in Ligue 1 last season.
And the Norwegian believes he is the right man to bolster United’s struggling attack next season.
Dembele signed for the French side just under a year ago from Celtic for £19.6m and Lyon are set to make a healthy profit if they cash in.
OLD TRAFFORD, NEW ERA?
According to French journalist Benjamin Quarez, United have made a bid and are now awaiting to hear back from Lyon.
His arrival could see the departure of No9 Romelu Lukaku after his agent has publicly stated the Belgium striker is considering his options.
Lukaku is being lined up with a move to Inter Milan with Antonio Conte braced to take over.
