BottleRock Napa: What happens if it rains at the festival?
The weather is usually great at BottleRock Napa Valley, the popular annual music festival that got its start in 2013.
This year, however, there is some rain on the forecast for the three-day event, which runs May 24-26 in downtown Napa.
Looks like there could be some thunderstorms heading to the festival on Day Two (Sunday, May 25), perhaps landing right around the time the music starts at noon.
So, what will happen if it rains at BottleRock?
Well, music lovers will likely get wet.
Organizers aren’t planning to make any changes in regard to possible rainy weather. The festival will go on, rain or shine.
It will be important for fans to wear raincoats and other water resistant/proof clothes in case of rain.
Of course, this isn’t a festival that provides a lot of overhead covering. It can be found in some spots, but most of the viewing areas at the stages are out in the open.
So, what about bringing an umbrella to help combat the elements?
That’s still a no-no at BottleRock, rain or shine.
A heavy downpour could make for some muddy field areas. Thus, it’s important to bring proper footwear. Maybe leave behind those fancy kicks that you’ve been wanting to show off for the day and instead go with some sturdy boots or something.
Hopefully, the wet weather will skip BottleRock and this will all be a moot point. But, just in case, remember to bring a good coat.

Oh, and it’s also supposed to be colder than normal, with a forecast high of 61 on Sunday — about 10 degrees cooler than the other two days.
