I took a pass on a (maybe) Schwinn Voyager

The local university held their annual auction of left-overs today. Most of the stuff is bikes, and about 90% of the bikes are big-box trash cruisers. I did pick out about 7 decent bikes, 2 cruisers in bad shape, 1 Giant aluminum hybrid that was decent, 3 Treks (2 aluminum, 1 steel 830 Antelope), and 1 Schwinn with horrible paint and decals that had canti brakes and looked a lot like a Voyager.

The only thing that interested me was the Schwinn but:
1. It was too small - about 21" to 22".
2. The stem, bars, shifters, and brake levers had been replaced.
3. It was in bad shape - used, abused, and left outdoors for years.
4. The fork appeared to be a replacement.
5. The brake cable housings had no internal cables.
6. It would be one of the last to be sold. That always means cheaper prices, but you have to stand while 80 other BSOs are auctioned.

So I left it there and went home early.
