His sound jumping will always make him hard to peg back and he made a promising return from a winter break when third in a Grade 2 at Ayr’s Scottish National meeting.
SPIN THE COIN (2.35 Kelso, NB) won over hurdles at Musselburgh on his first run since having a breathing operation.
He’s the type to make a nice chaser.
MAGNA CARTOR (5.40 Uttoxeter, treble) was tried over further on his first start since joining Richard Newland.
He got too far back in a slowly-run race with some sloppy jumps also contributing to his downfall.
I’m expecting him to be a lot better today with a faster gallop looking likely.
