Wilder claims he could face Joshua in blockbuster unification fight ‘by the end of the year’
DEONTAY WILDER has claimed a unification fight against Anthony Joshua before the end of the year is “possible”.
SunSport exclusively revealed that the Bronze Bomber’s manager is in talks with AJ, Tyson Fury and Luis Ortiz’s camps.
Wilder is searching for his next opponent after he retained his WBC crown with an incredible win over Dominic Breazeale.
IBF, WBO and WBA champion Joshua has accused the American of using his name to boost his profile while refusing to fight him.
But Wilder, 33, has refused to rule out going head-to-head with the British superstar before the end of the year.
He told Tha Boxing Voice: “We’re looking to again in the next few months. We’re just getting everything together. I’m looking to be very active.
“Joshua’s not happening this year, straight up. That’s gone. With [Luis] Ortiz and [Adam] Kownacki, I really don’t know the percentages of either of them.
“I think they’re 50/50, as far as percentages. It just all depends on locations. I don’t know yet.
“There’s a lot of stuff going on. But, this is boxing and it changes like the weather.
“So one minute you may say something and the next minute something may open up.
“I say Joshua’s out, I may have to rephrase myself and say: ‘We don’t know.’

“Because something dramatic can happen and all of a sudden we could have an Anthony Joshua fight at the end of the year.
“I mean s***, that is possible. Or [Tyson] Fury. There’s so many openings and avenues to go down.
“Whatever happens, just know it’s going to be a great fight.”
