Woman dies after plunge from hotel roof on bank holiday
A WOMAN has died after falling from the roof of a hotel this evening.
Police said they were called to the Varsity Hotel in Cambridge following reports of a “sudden death”.

They closed the road and urged people to avoid the area.
A spokeswoman for Cambridgeshire Police said: “We were called at 5.35pm this evening (May 27) with reports of a sudden death at The Varsity Hotel in Thompsons Lane, Cambridge, after a woman fell from the hotel roof.
“At this stage the death is not believed to be suspicious.

“The road has been closed and cordons put on around the scene. Members of the public are advised to avoid the area.”
The woman has not been named by police her death is not being treated as suspicious, reports Cambridgeshire Live.
The upmarket hotel and spa has a rooftop bar, although it is not known if the woman was using the bar at the time of her death.
