EastEnders spoilers: Grange Hill legend Lee MacDonald makes his Walford debut as Mick Carter tries to win Spice Girls tickets for wife Linda
GRANGE Hill legend Lee Macdonald – who played iconic character Zammo in the drama – makes his Walford debut as Terry in EastEnders next week.
Terry is set to clash with pub landlord Mick Carter as they go head to head in a radio competition to win Spice Girls tickets.
While Mick’s wife Linda worries about their young son Ollie’s behaviour, Mick assumes her mood is because she missed out of getting tickets to see the 90s girl group live on stage.
Wanting to cheer her up, Mick enters a competition to win tickets to see them and – with Tina’s help – is thrilled when he gets round to the second round of the contest.
But Mick’s joy is short-lived. As Shirley and Tina enjoy helping Mick prepare for the next round of the competition, he’s left feeling flat when he loses to another called – Terry.
Out, but not down, Mick – Danny Dyer – resolves to hunt Terry down and plead with his better nature to give him the tickets for Linda.
But as he tries to track Terry down, he’s led on a wild goose chase. When Mick finally finds Terry, he refuses to give Mick the tickets.
Later Linda – Kellie Bright – questions Tina about Mick’s odd behaviour and Tina reveals all about the concert tickets and the competition.
A touched Linda repays Mick in her own way, by singing his favourite song at Tina’s leaving party.
But everyone is stunned when Terry arrives at the pub. What does he want?

It was revealed back in April that Lee would be making a cameo appearance in the BBC soap, 32 years after appearing on Grange Hill.
Lee has been running a locksmith and key-cutting business since quitting TV.
He said at the time: “ I am absolutely chuffed to bits and so excited to be briefly joining the cast of EastEnders. I can’t say too much yet but watch this space. Top banana!”
