Kawasaki attack: Man stabs 11 people – including eight kids – in Japan park
AT LEAST 11 people – including eight kids – have been stabbed in a bloody rampage in Japan during Donald Trump’s visit to the country.
Police say eight children and three adults were injured after the attack at a park in Kawasaki, near Tokyo.
The suspect is now in custody, according to local news site NHK.
Trump and his wife Melania arrived in Tokyo on Saturday ahead of a largely ceremonial visit to recognise Japan’s new emperor.
The US President’s visit included an imperial banquet, a sumo wrestling tournament and golf with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Trump spent his last night in Tokyo at a banquet on Monday. He is due to make two stops in Japan today to visit US troops before flying back to Washington.
