Love Island’s Charlie Fredrick claims ex Lucie Donlan isn’t interested in love and is only going in the villa for fame
FORMER Love Island star Charlie Frederick has accused his ex Lucie Donlan of only going on this year’s show for fame.
The 24-year-old briefly dated the surfer, 21, earlier this year and enjoyed a romantic trip to Portugal before calling time on their relationship.
Despite enjoying their time together, Charlie doesn’t think Lucie has any interest in finding love.
He told the Mail Online: “Most definitely not looking for love. She’s only 21. I hope she’s going in there with the right intentions. She’ll get a couple of Instagram followers on the way, if you know what I mean.
“She said it herself. I don’t even need to say she used my name to get famous. You’ve got to do what you’ve got to do to get the Z-list fame.”
Charlie insisted the pair were never truly serious about each other and said he found Lucie immature.
He continued: “It all went really fast. It was a bit of a holiday romance. If you ask me, it was really good, her family were great but it didn’t work out. She was too young.”
The Sun Online has messaged Lucie for comment.
Model Charlie endured a tough time during his brief stint in the villa. Failing to hit it off with Hayley Hughes, he met a swift exit.
Meanwhile Lucie insists she’s “kind and thoughtful” but also admits being a cheat and reckons there’s no such thing as the girl code.
She loves dogs, once tried to go on a date with Joey Essex, hates arrogance – and is into sporty guys.

Lads in the villa might have to keep a close eye on her as she said: “Have I got a wandering eye? Probably, yeah. I have cheated in the past because I’ve got on with someone so much better.”
She said she prefers to hang out with guys as they are “less drama” and is not a fan of spending time with “girly girls”, which makes the Love Island villa an interesting choice to spend a summer.
When quizzed about her personality traits the blonde said she “can cut boys off pretty quickly” but is “kind, thoughtful and bubbly”.
