Rescue teams searching for missing hiker at Alum Rock Park in San Jose

Search and rescue teams are looking for a hiker reported missing Monday in San Jose’s Alum Rock Park, a fire official said.

Two people were initially reported missing at around 3:31 p.m., but one person has since been located, San Jose Fire Captain Josh Staley said.

Staley said he didn’t have information about whether the two people were hiking together or separately, but said crews were still looking for a man.

A helicopter team, along with crews on off-road vehicles and urban search and rescue teams are combing the area, he said.
