Decision To Hire Conte Will Cost Suning Tens Of Millions Of Euros
As Inter get ready to fire Luciano Spalletti and his staff and replace them with Antonio Conte and his staff, the cost to make the change is staggering.
To fire Spalletti and his staff will cost Inter €25m gross according to Corriere dello Sport because he is under contract for two more years, after signing a new deal a year ago when he led Inter back into the Champions League.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have agreed a three year deal with Conte that will pay him €12m net a year, around €21.5m gross. That means Inter are committing to pay Conte at least €64.5m over the next three year. On top of the €25 to be paid to Spalletti.
That is close to €90m on managers!
Meanwhile Inter president Steven Zhang took to Instagram to not only celebrate his club’s Champions League finish but also suggest changes were afoot.
“If life is a magical journey, then part of mine is in [sic],” he wrote.
“I will do the best I can for this colour.”
