Hello Friends,
Another chilly start to the day, but as anticipated, the waves have arrived. The 2.5 metre 10-sec SSE (156°) swell is producing shoulder to head plus faces on the sets at the north end of the Dee Why to Longy stretch. It’s more in the waist to chest plus range at the south end. And less consistent too. Swell is somewhat jumbled at the north end, and very straight from south of the lugga.
Tide is dropping to the 0.6m low at 0950. Weather should be sunny with a high of 19C. Water is a summery 23C(!)

Outlook is for the swell to fade out to near flat for a couple of days, but there could be something in the surfable range by Friday morning – ahead of a stiff south change by the middle of the day. Swell looks like being fun size from Saturday into mid next week, so here’s hoping the blasting wind gets a little SW at some point…

Weather Situation
A short lived ridge of high pressure extends across New South Wales today from a high centre near Perth before a cold front sweeps through the state on Wednesday with strong westerly winds. Winds will shift south to southwesterly and gradually ease during the later part of the week as a strong high pressure system over the Bight extends a ridge toward the eastern New South Wales and becomes the dominant weather feature.
