President Buhari hosts Emir Sanusi, others in Aso Rock

- This is the Emir’s first meeting with the president since the creation of additional emirates in Kano
President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday evening hosted traditional rulers from across the country to a fast-breaking meal at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the traditional leaders who joined the president in the Ramadan breakfast included the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II and the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

Others were the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar; the Tor Tiv, Prof. James Ayatse and other prominent rulers from the South South and South East regions of the country.
Government officials, including the Chief of Staff to the President, Malam Abba Kyari as well as some presidential aides were among those at the event.
Recall that President Buhari on Friday hosted members of the Business Community and officials of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Iftar( Ramadan breaking of fast at the State House, Abuja.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha and the Chief of Staff to the President, Malam Abba Kyari were among the government functionaries at the fast-breaking event.

Members of the business community in attendance of the fast-breaking meal included Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Tony Elemelu, Alhaji Isiaka Rabiu and Chief Emeka Offor.
Others were the Chairman of the Sahara Group, Kola Adesina and the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Najeem Yasin.
