Fire Kills Five Children In Astana

A house fire in the Kazakh capital, Astana, killed five children from a single family. Officials said on February 4 that flames engulfed the house overnight, killing five girls aged between three months and 13 years. Emergency service officials told RFE/RL that the girls' parents were at work at the time. The cause of the blaze has yet to be determined.
