Iran marks 40 years since Islamic Revolution

Hundreds of thousands of people in Iran filled the streets Monday to mark the 40th anniversary of the country's Islamic Revolution. President Hassan Rouhani told a huge crowd in Tehran that Iran did not need to ask the world's permission to develop missiles, and it will continue to build up its military power despite U.S. sanctions. Die beiden hätten sich kurz zuvor in einer Diskothek kennengelernt, teilte die Polizei am Montag mit. Auf der Suche nach einem lauschigen Plätzchen am Sonntagabend in der Münchner Innenstadt hätten sie den Wagen entdeckt, der unverschlossen am Straßenrand stand.

Venezuela seeks raising oil supplies to India to counter US sanctions

Battling crippling US sanctions, Venezuela Monday said it wants to sell more crude oil to India as it looked at the world's third-biggest oil consumer to boost revenues. Venezuelan Oil Minister and President of the Latin American state-run oil company PDVSA Manuel Quevedo hinted at being open for an alternative payment mechanism to circumvent US sanctions.
