Police pursuit ends with violent crash

Two people were taken into custody after a police chase ended Thursday afternoon with a crash at East 63rd Street and Cedar Avenue. Authorities said an SUV that was reported stolen hit another car at the intersection about 2:30 p.m. "We saw bumper parts laying all over and people getting out of the car and running down the street," said Sheila Nickerson, who saw the crash from her window across the street.
