Four women vying for Julie Bishop’s seat of Curtin

Four women have put their hands up to contest Julie Bishop's prized Western Australian seat after the former deputy prime minister announced her resignation last month. Foreign affairs specialist Erin Watson-Lynn is tipped to be a strong contender, while former vice-chancellor at the University of Notre-Dame, Celia Hammond, has also stepped up to vie for Curtin. Ms Bishop indicated she would like to see a woman pre-selected to replace her as she announced her plans to not recontest her seat at the upcoming federal election.
