Missing woman, her three daughters found

A woman and her three daughters, who were missing since April, were found in Haridwar districtof Uttarakhand, police said Sunday. Senior Superintendent of Police Sudhir Kumar told reporters that the woman, along with her daughters, left the city allegedly due to atrocities by her husband and in-laws. Police have registered a case against six people including her husband and brother-in-law. Both of them were arrested.

The BJP Sunday termed the attack on its candidate Bharati Ghosh an "act of frustration" by the ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, and said it would complain to the Election Commission for action in the matter. BJP leader and Union minister Prakash Javadekar said a delegation of his party will meet the EC over the alleged incidents of violence in Ghatal constituency. Nearly 80 per cent of the 1,33,69,749 electorate exercised their franchise till 5pm in eight Lok Sabha constituencies in West Bengal on Sunday, an election official said. "Except some incidents of disturbances in Keshpur, polling is mostly peaceful. We have sought reports from the district officials about the incidents. Sudan tribal clashes kill 7, wound 22: local official

Clashes between members of two Sudanese tribes in an eastern town have left seven people dead and 22 wounded over the past two days, a local official said Sunday. The violence erupted on Saturday between members of the Nuba and Bani Amer tribes in the town of Gadaref, said Mohieddine Ahmed, governor of Gadaref province.
