Well-known motorsports administrator and former vice president of Federation Internationale de Automobile (FIA), Nazir Hoosein, died here Sunday night. The news of Hoosein's demise after a prolonged illness was confirmed by Shrikant Karani, Director of Sportscraft which has been organising motor sports events in many parts of India. The CPI(M) on Monday hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for claiming that he was one of the first few people in India to use a digital camera and e-mail in 1988, saying it would "make for a great joke" had the matter been not so "serious involving the post of PM". In an interview to a private news channel on Saturday, Modi had claimed that he first used a digital camera and e-mail in 1988. Chinese man luckily survives fall into river after bank collapses under him

A Chinese man luckily survived falling into a river after the six-metre-high river bank collapsed underneath him in northern China. The terrifying moment, filmed in Baoding City in Hebei Province on May 8, shows a man shooting videos at the edge of a river bank, suddenly tumbling into the river as the bank collapses. Fortunately, he climbed onto the shore by himself later and was not injured severely.
