Bharti Telecom stake in Airtel comes down to 41.24 pc

Stake of Airtel promoter group firm Bharti Telecom has come down to 41.24 per cent following renouncement of 11.34 crore shares by the entity valued at around Rs 3,920 crore and Rs 25,000-crore rights issue, according to the updated shareholding of the company. Sunil Bharti Mittal family and Singapore telecom firm Singtel-owned firm Bharti Telecom held 50.1 per cent stake with 211.62 shares in Bharti Airtel at the end of March 2019. HC seeks authorities' explanations on chaotic traffic in Allahabad

The Allahabad High Court Tuesday said crores of rupees were sanctioned during the recent Kumbh to beautify the city and widen its roads, but nothing has been done to manage its traffic here. MP HC allows 19-year-old gang-rape victim to terminate 'unwanted pregnancy'

The Madhya Pradesh High Court's bench here Tuesday granted permission to a gang-rape victim to abort her nine-week-old foetus. Justice Virender Singh, presiding over the vacation bench, allowed the 19-year-old woman's writ petition, seeking permission to terminate her "unwanted pregnancy". "The petitioner is permitted to approach District Hospital, Dewas within a period of one week for termination of pregnancy," Justice Singh said.
