At least 66 malaria cases have been reported in Delhi this year, more than double the number of people affected by dengue, a municipal report released on Monday showed. As many as 57 of these malaria cases were recorded in June. Last year, 2,798 dengue cases and four deaths were recorded by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), which tabulates the data on vector-borne diseases in the city. Six more people died of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) in Assam on Monday, taking the toll to 82, a National Health Mission (NHM) bulletin said. The number of JE positive cases in the state increased to 374 with 82 cases being reported on Monday, it said. A man was stabbed to death allegedly by a pizza delivery boy over a petty issue in West Delhi's Tilak Nagar, police said Monday.
