Shares of Jack in the Box Inc. rose more than 6% in the extended session Wednesday after the fast-food chain reported fiscal third-quarter profit and sales above Wall Street expectations. The company said it earned $13 million, or 50 cents a share, in the quarter, compared with $45 million, or $1.60 a share, in the year-ago period.
