SC junks HC Black Money Act ruling

In a major boost to the Centre's drive against black money stashed abroad, the Supreme Court on Tuesday struck down a Delhi HC finding that penal provisions of the Black Money (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assets) and Imposition of Tax Act, 2015, were being applied retrospectively. The Black Money Act was passed by Parliament on May 11, 2015, and came into force on April 1, 2016.
