New book deep-dives into Brahmaputra's history

Titled "The Unquiet River: A biography of the Brahmaputra", the book reimagines the layered history of Assam with the river at the centre. Queens man killed in collision while crossing the street: NYPD

JACKSON HEIGHTS, Queens — A pedestrian was struck and killed in a collision with a vehicle Sunday morning in Queens, police said.
