Good Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley asks ‘can I go home now?’ after he’s forced to dress up for Love Island as he stands in for Piers Morgan
GOOD Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley asked “can I go home now?” after he was forced to wear a hat and a garland of flowers to celebrate the return of Love Island.
The 63-year-old host, who is standing in for Piers Morgan over the half term break, revealed he’s never seen the show and moaned to viewers today “this will go on forever”.
Arnold laughed as he revealed “we’re puckering up for summer” and told the panel he is heading to Majorca next week to report live for GMB.
He then handed Madeley and the presenter replied: “Oh go on then. Which way do you have to wear it? Back to front? I’m not putting the flip flops on.
“Can I go home now?”
The host then accused Love Island of being a farce and asked Arnold: “Do any of the couples stay together?”
Arnold shot back: “No none of them at all Richard. Inevitably they’ll be able to afford a two up two down.”
However, Love Island’s 2017 contestants Jessica Sheers and Dominic Lever got married on Good Morning Britain last year.
The pair became the first Islanders to get hitched – and of course he was topless and she was in a bikini as Arnold, who had been ordained for the occasion, married them.
Love Island 2019 returns to screens on June 3rd with Caroline Flack at the helm and Arnold he’d already seen the villa, revealing it is in “pristine” condition.
He’s set to interview voice over star Iain Stirling and insisted “he’s the one with the eye over all of the proceedings, Flack just puts her feet up.”
